During this packed day I normally start in Borgarnes, the homestead of Egill Skallagrimsson, one of Iceland’s viking sons. We visit the Settlement center, where you will get an audio-guided tour of the settlement of Iceland and the saga of Egill Skallagrimsson. Truly a magnificent visit. At the same location there is a lovely lunch buffet, where we will enjoy a good lunch. Then we drive to Hraunfossar lava waterfalls and admire one of the the amazing gifts that nature has given us. From there we head over to Vidgelmir, the largest lava cave in Iceland, for a guided cave tour. From there we can visit a lovely goat farm and then take a lovely dip into Krauma, a relaxing invigorating spa that gets it’s hot water from the most powerful hot spring in Europe.
Truly, a wonderful and packed day of knowledge, good humor, good food, excellent company and magnificent landscape!

We depart Reykjavik early morning and head west. Our destination is the Borgarnes. From Borgarnes we head over to Hraunfossar and then Vidgelmir lava cave. Haafell goat farm and Krauma spa.

Your tour starts in Reykjavik. After being picked up, you will head out towards the west. The first stop will be the Settlement center in Borgarnes, then lunch, then Hraunfossar, then lava cave, then goats, then relax. After an amazing day we head back to Reykjavik.
